https://redantspantsmusicfestival.com/ The Red Ants Pants Music Festival was founded in 2011. It is designed to bring people together and is a program of the 501(c)(3) Red Ants Pants Foundation. Our non-profit is in support of women’s leadership, working family farms and ranches, and rural communities. We use pr

oceeds from the festival to fund our grant cycle and run our timber skills and women’s leadership events. In 2011, 6,000 fans came to celebrate rural Montana in a cow pasture. Over the years, attendees have enjoyed headliners including Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Charley Pride, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Keb' Mo', Lucinda Williams, and Dwight Yoakam. The festival continues its success into its fifteenth year July 23-26, 2026, aiming to improve upon the authentic, rich community culture attendees enjoy in the cow pasture. Whether you were posted up at the Main Stage, catching an emerging artist on the Side Stage, or simply taking in the beauty, those iconic chairs made it easy to settle in and stay awhile.

Our Emerging Artist Contest gives fans the chance to vote for their favorite Side Stage band, giving the winner an opportunity to play the Main Stage next year.

The votes are in....and a huge congratulations goes out to The Last Wild Buffalo, 2026 Red Ants Pants Music Festival Emerging Artist winner! Their unforgettable performance captured the hearts of festivalgoers and showcased the incredible talent and passion that makes our side stage such a special place to discover new music.

2nd place honors went to Grover Anderson and Lost Canyons came in 3rd. Thanks to all of our amazing Side Stage artists and fans who voted!
