Along the banks of the Suwannee River at the historic Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs, Florida, folk artists have annually gathered over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate the best of Florida’s music, arts, and culture! Since its humble beginning in 1953, the Florida Folk Festival has not only grown to become Florida’s most prestigious cultural event, but also named “

Florida’s Best Cultural Event.” In 2014 & 2015, the festival was recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society with the honor of being a “Top 20 Event” in the southeastern United States.

In spite of some intermittent rain, the Florida Folk Festival demonstrated the diverse character of the culture of the state. Folk, southern rock, bluegrass, sacred steel gospel and much more was on the menu for Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 74th Annual Florida Folk Festival such a memorable weekend.

Thank you to the performers, folklife artists, demonstrators, workshop leaders, dancers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, park staff, production crews, community partners, and festival-goers who came together to celebrate Florida’s rich cultural traditions through music, dance, storytelling, craftsmanship, food, and fellowship.

From lively stages and late-night jam sessions to workshops, dancing, folklife demonstrations, and family fun, your participation and support brought the festival to life once again along the banks of the Suwannee River.

Thank you for being part of the tradition. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
