ATTN: 603 GUESTS/PRESENTERS/VOLUNTEERS/LITERARY COMMUNITY:
This post contains an important update about the 2026 603 Writers’ Conference.
On Wednesday, we learned that the SNHU banquet hall, a space we have used for our conference for the past 15 years, is not available to us. This was unexpected and outside of our control.
SNHU offered alternative accommodations on campus, and we carefully reviewed those spaces on Wednesday. After doing so, we determined they would not provide the quality, comfort, or overall experience our guests deserve for a full day of learning, networking, dining, and connection.
Following an emergency Board meeting Wednesday evening, and a phone discussion with SNHU on Thursday morning confirming that an adequate facility was not available for our conference, the decision was made to move both the date and location.
After confirming keynote speaker Chris Bohjalian’s availability the new date and location were secured. All presenters were then contacted immediately by phone to confirm their availability. Most have already confirmed, and we are still waiting to hear back from a few presenters who are currently out of the country.
👉We are pleased to share that the 603 Writers’ Conference will now take place on:
Saturday, November 14, 2026
Grappone Conference Center
70 Constitution Avenue, Concord, NH
While this change was not something we anticipated, we are genuinely excited about what this new venue offers. The Grappone Conference Center provides a more comfortable and elegant conference experience, including ample parking close to the building, breakout rooms all in one location, no long walks across campus, excellent food, and a spacious ballroom for the keynote, dining, networking, and Pitch Party.
We know a date change can create challenges, and we sincerely hope your schedule will allow you to join us on November 14, 2026. Your registration will automatically transfer to the new date.
If you are unable to attend, your registration will be fully refunded.
We are also working to secure a hotel room block for guests who may wish to stay overnight. To help us determine how many rooms to set aside, please let us know whether you may be interested in reserving a hotel room for the conference weekend. Once we have a better sense of interest, we can provide a booking link for the group block.
If you have already made flight or hotel arrangements, the email sent today may help you request changes without penalties. If additional documentation is needed, please contact us and we will do what we can to assist.
We also understand that some guests may have concerns about traveling in mid-November. Because of that, we will offer full refunds to anyone who is uncomfortable driving due to weather concerns up to one week before the conference, through Saturday, November 7, 2026.
We are deeply grateful for your support of the 603 Writers’ Conference and for your understanding as we navigate this unexpected change. While this situation was not in our control, we are confident that the move to the Grappone Conference Center will allow us to provide an even stronger, more comfortable, and more inspiring conference experience.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support of New Hampshire’s writing community.
With appreciation,
The New Hampshire Writers’ Project
