Sad news has reached the music world overnight: Moya Brennan, born Máire Philomena Ní Bhraonáin, the legendary Irish musician, passed away yesterday at the age of 73.

The older sister of renowned composer and singer Enya, and a key member of the family band Clannad, known for their folk and new age sound, Moya released 17 albums throughout her career and won a GRAMMY Award.

In the trance scene, her name is forever linked to one of the most iconic tracks of all time: 'Saltwater' by Chicane (1999), where her ethereal voice left an unforgettable mark.
Her angelic voice will forever be associated with this masterpiece and so much more.

I decided to do a mix last night. It’s been a year or so since I’ve done one and I do believe it will be the last one I do. I remember now why I stopped doing them. My 20+ year old equipment is crapping out on me. It has started to jump the bpm’s all over the place on me so much that it’s really hard to mix. I’m good but it’s very stressful trying to keep both decks close enough to not sound like total crap! Anyway, I haven’t posted the mix and don’t know if I will. Maybe if enough people show interest in hearing it I will? DJ Josh Jones over and out maybe forever?!?!
