Lakeshore Players Theatre

Lakeshore Players Theatre Your community. Your stage. Some have gone on to work as actors, directors, and stage managers at professional theaters.

Lakeshore Players provides opportunities for community members to participate in the theatrical arts—from wide-eyed beginners to experienced theatrical professionals. Professional guest artist directors, music directors, and choreographers share their skills and techniques gained through training and experience with volunteer actors drawn from the community. Each season, we see people who participated in youth programs return as adults to volunteer as actors and ushers, and to help with sets, props and costuming. Many Lakeshore acting class students confidently go on to audition for a chance to perform in Lakeshore’s main stage productions.

🎭 NEW CLASS: Write It in 10: The Art of Writing the 10-Minute Play

What happens when a work of visual art becomes the beginning of a story? 🎨

Join us for a collaborative playwriting class where artwork on exhibit at White Bear Center for the Arts becomes the inspiration for creating original 10-minute plays.

Whether you're new to playwriting or have experience under your belt, you'll explore character, dialogue, structure, and conflict while developing, sharing, and revising your own short play.

No previous playwriting experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!
