Jamboree "Tuesday Popup" Museum Archives: Three years after the Jamboree took to the stage of Wheeling's Capitol Theatre, the Capitol ownership changed and the Jamboree show and its live radio broadcast production was forced to move. On February 22, 1936 to Wheeling's Market Auditorium one block East on Market Street. It stayed there as a primary venue through the late 1930s into the mid-1940s, drawn by its larger capacity and informal atmosphere. The venue was later used again briefly in the early 1960s before being demolished in 1964. Hence the Jamboree became known as the "Wandering Jamboree".
