The Linsly School Cadet Band

Tonight was our first halftime performance of the 2026 season and the first performance of a Linsly Band on the field in over 30 years. I am so proud of this group of kids and what they accomplished tonight. Come out next week to see the Marching Cadets support the Linsly Cadet football team vs. Stuebenville Big Red.

I want to shout out our four seniors on their last first day today! You four gentlemen have been instrumental in making this band what it is today! We are proud of you and hope that this marching season is one to remember. As with our school theme, no matter what comes up in life "Keep Going!"

Yesterday we held our first car wash and it was a huge success! A big thank you to The Wheel, Wheeling, WV for allowing us to use your parking lot and water for our car wash! We can't thank you enough!

Yesterday we had our end of band camp parent performance where the students worked hard for two weeks learning music, marching fundamentals, and putting marching band drill on the field.
This fall will be the first time in over 30 years that a Linsly band has marched for The Linsly School during half time. Come out and see these amazing students perform this fall!

Linsly Drum Major Max Blinco has been busy this summer! He went to Indianapolis to be a part of the Bands of America summer camp and is now at the Phantom Regiment camp! There are other student doing so much this summer, so look out for other posts!

On May 8th we held our annual Spring
Concert and Art show. It was a wonderful night filled with beautiful art, amazing singing, and wonderful music being played by all of the Linsly Bands. Here is a small clip of the high school band playing Paul Murtha's arrangement of "Moves Like Jagger" and the 5th grade bucket drumming.
