Okay babes, it's story time!!

When we first debuted our membership back in 2024 we had an application form set up on our website. Great, right? WRONG. That form filler apparently sent the applications into the abyss, never to be seen or heard from again.

We were a bit surprised that not a single person ever wanted to be a member. But, I mean who doesn't need a slice of humble pie every now and again?

How silly, how wrong. We found out that in the depths of our website we can see that we have had more than 50 membership submissions....

YAY!!

But who? When did they submit? How can we contact them? .... Not a single idea!

BOO!!

Long story short, we have fixed the problem and applications now land right where they belong!

Some questions we receive after every Market on Canal

1. Do you do this every Sunday?

Normally we are confident in our answers…It’s twice a year only! (Three times if you count our Christmas show in Lockport😉🎄) but after an incredible May 3rd Market that proved the resilience and dedication of our vendors and our customers🥰☂️, we decided to….

🚨ADD AN EXTRA MARKET TO OUR 2026 CALENDAR!🎉🎉🎉‼️🚨

We are rounding out summer with one more day of the areas greatest vendors, best food, live music and more!⭐️🥳🥳

And when we say more, we really mean MORE! 👀

We are combining two of favorite events into one special August day🤩 Not only will downtown be the home of this summer market☀️, your kids will have the opportunity to meet and greet eight superheroes🦸, princesses👑 and villains scattered throughout downtown Lemont and Market On Canal🕵🏼‍♀️

So basically, the most fun day for the entire family💕 Bring your kids, your wagons, your pets, your friends and enjoy the most magical day!🥰❤️✨

A note from Joanna & The Babes :

We all feel deeply connected to this weekend of celebration. This small corner of the word is built by and for the moms, the daughters, the grandmothers and the granddaughters of our community.

When you think about our family owned and family ran business, we want you to think about the faces you see in our shop, at our pop-ups, at our markets.

We are working moms, working daughters, working friends, working women. We show up every day to help you look, feel and be your best self and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We hold this time of the year close to our hearts. This weekend in particular we get to connect and share in the experience and joy that our amazing guests celebrate with us, and with each other.

We know that this time can bring up lots of feelings for all — while we are here to shower our guests in celebration, we also want to emphasize that we are here for those who may not have the same relationship with this day or this weekend that we do.

We do it for the women who are moms.
We do it for the women who are daughters.
We do it for the women who want to be moms.
We do it for the women who are mom figures.

We do it for the women who choose a different path.

We do it for the women whose moms are no longer with us.

We do it for women whose children are no longer with us.

We do it for all of YOU, each and every day.
