Race #1 Recap ๐๐
Whewwwwโฆ after months away from the track, yesterday was all about shaking off the cobwebs.
Stella had a tough day. A little love tap in practice rattled her confidence, and by race time, the nerves had completely taken over. She lined up 19th out of 21 cars and brought it home in 20th. More than anything, she came back feeling overwhelmed. Racing can be tough when you're 7, and we'll see how she's feeling heading into today. ๐
Eleanor slowly found that gas pedal. She chipped away at her lap times, worked on mastering some corners (a big goal for the weekend), and moved from 12th to finish 11th out of 13 cars. Progress over perfection. ๐
And now, a new day.
Stella starts 17th out of 21, and Eleanor will line up 3rd out of 13 with a 2-by-2 rolling start. ๐๐
This photo says it all. One sister quietly contemplating what's next. The other looking to her big sister for a little guidance, confidence, and courage.
That's the thing about racingโand sisterhood. Some days you're the one leading. Some days you're the one needing a reminder that you've got this.
And today? We get to do it all over again. ๐โ๏ธ๐ฉ
