THINGS I HEAR

There are a few things that happen at almost every wedding I paint.

Someone quietly stands behind me for half the night watching the canvas come together.

A guest brings their friend back later saying, “Wait, you have to see how much it changed.”

Someone always asks how long it takes.

And by the end of the night, the painting somehow starts feeling like part of the celebration itself.

One of my favorite parts of this job will always be watching people interact with the artwork in real time. 🤍

MEMORIES

Memories are funny.
Sometimes the smallest moments become the ones we hold onto the longest.

This Memorial Day, I’m especially grateful for the ability to preserve moments while they’re still unfolding — surrounded by family, celebration, love, and people fully present with each other.

This season has been full in the best way, and this weekend was another reminder that art becomes part of the memory itself.

THINGS THEY DONT TELL YOU

People see the finished paintings…

but not always:
✨ the speed painting
✨ the setup
✨ the organization
✨ painting while guests are watching
✨ hauling supplies across venues
✨ the paint-covered hands at midnight 😂

And honestly?
I love every second of it.

This weekend we’re doing TWO wedding services back-to-back and I’m so excited 🤍
