Michael is an Alabama. artist. While painting, he is totally absorbed in his work, reacting without deep thought or planning. Painting, for him, is almost an automatic process. When questioned about what he means by a certain part of a painting, he often responds, “It surprises me what I have painted when I have finished. I was just in my groove and this is what came out. Wow.” See more about him and additional works on our website.

✨ ART OF THE DAY

"“Flowers” " by Woodie Long
Unsigned, acrylic on paper, unframed
14 1/8' X 10 1/8" | #13544

Woody Long was the son of a migrant farmer. Being one of twelve children, Woodie was expected to work in the fields. His love of color comes from everything growing around him. His memories inform this painting.
