An announcement from the Folk Arts Center of New England:

Join us for a weekend of dance and music at FAC's Oktoberfest - October 6-9
There’s nothing like autumn in New England - and what better way to enjoy it than by doing what we love best? The Folk Arts Center has just the opportunity: Oktoberfest, our dance and music weekend in Vermont!
The fun this year runs from October 6-9, during Indigenous Peoples’ Day Weekend, when the foliage is at its most glorious, and folks are happy to gather together to kick up their heels and lift their voices.
Most people stay at Hulbert, but there are other flexible options for participation. The days are spent learning, dancing, and sharing music together with FAC staff, including Bianca de Jong, an incredible dance teacher from the Netherlands, and Alex Cu***ng, an energetic dance caller, musician, and singer, combined with outdoor activities like canoeing and hiking in the area coordinated by members of the Hulbert staff. In the evening, our fabulous band, the Flying Squirrel Orchestra, will tune up and we will enjoy an evening dance party, followed by an afterparty with refreshments, spontaneous singing and dancing, and other moments for connection.

The only thing currently missing from this weekend is you, and registration is now open!
