Lots of people have been asking “What is state street social? 🤔”
“What are you planning now?! 🤪”
“Why are you making another bar 😬”
“Don’t you have enough on your plate 🥴”
So let’s dive into it….State Street Social is the old Dollar General and Furniture Store and Full Circle Resale store at 126 North State Street.
It was actually bought, truth be told, because we really wanted the parking lot for our already busy sister business Sportsman Inn. Parking is really valuable and we knew we needed to secure it.
With that said, we know the building is a gem of potential and we LOVE 🤪 a good project!!
We do not know the exact plan for State Street Social as we have a vision but we also really want the community to help us “build” this. We want it to be a space that’s useful, utilized and welcomed by all!
We have no intentions on trying to make this a bar (we already have the BeST 😉🎉) and we don’t have it in us to take away from our big sister space. BUT we def want this to be a “pair”-a dynamic duo if you will! We want this space to enhance and support the bar, not take from it.
We personally see this as a social hall for all ages! We’ve listened and we hope to make it something you’ve all asked for! For larger events-like comedy shows and line dancing, for non for profit fundraisers like maybe ✨ Glo bingo, maybe some arcade and pool or skeeball for the kids or kid at heart, for holiday parties and gatherings 🎄, for retirement parties or company dinners, and maybe even a wedding reception 💍 here or there for people who want to spend closer to $2,500, not $12,500 or $25,000 😬😳. We want this space to work for YOU! So pitch us your ideas-we are all ears 👂
