I have a couple of different paintings I am currently working on, but this is the one I have been working on more. It's definitely not finished yet, but I wanted to share my progress on it so far. I can't wait to add more details to the tree and make the painting come alive. Keep on creating everybody ❤️

"Wired to the horizon" a 6x6 in hexagon acrylic painting.

I have been working on this painting for a couple of days on and off. It started with me just blending the blue, pink and orange together and after it dried I went it and kept layering in more of the colors to make it pop and finished it with a telephone lines. I really like how this one turned out. In the beginning I wasnt sure what I was going to do with it with how the colors blended, but if you keep playing with a piece of art you will make something beautiful .

I know it’s been a little quiet on my page lately.

Life has been a bit heavy, and today I had another knee surgery to help me get back on track.

This past year has been a reminder to never take your body for granted. The small things we don’t think about when we’re young — stairs, bending, running — aren’t so small when they’re hard to do. And I know I am the kind of person that keeps pushing through the pain and try my best to do things I use to be able to do, even if that meant relying more on the rest of my body. It’s taken a toll on me physically and mentally, but I’m hopeful.

I have a new team helping me, and I feel like I’m on the path to regaining movements I haven’t had in over a year.

Yesterday, my last day of work before surgery and I worked on a little window painting using markers. They aren’t the smoothest tool and don’t allow the detail I’d love to achieve, but they still brought some color to the storefront and smiles from neighbors that came in. A little light goes a long way.

Healing season doesn’t mean creating stops. It just looks a little different.
