We received another shipment of inventory on March 29th. The exciting additions to our inventory in this shipment are Budget Chutes with Vet Access and Split Cattle Gates. The Budget Chutes with Vet Access come in two styles. One is "Unblinded", with open space between all of the horizontal rails, and the head catch lever near the front. The other style is "Blinded", with the solid sheeting on the inside face of the lower part of the side panels, so no open space between the lower, horizontal rails, and the head catch lever is near the back of the chute, near the slide gate. That makes it easier for one person to run both the slide gate and the head catch. Both have a split gate in the side panel on that side (cattle's left) which the top and bottom parts of the gate latch and open separately. Vet Access on both is a split gate, too. The bottom can close behind the animal, protecting the vet from getting kicked.
Split Cattle Gates are the same size as the Cattle Gates offered with our standard Budget Chutes. The top and bottom of the gate latch and open separately, and can be used on either, or both sides of the standard Budget Chutes. Standard Budget Chutes can be set up with operation of the Slide Gate and Head Catch on either side or opposite sides. As delivered from the factory, Budget Chutes with Vet Access can only be set up with split gate and head catch handle both on the same side, the cattle's left side. They can be modified to be on the opposite side. The slide gate for both styles can be set up to operate either direction.
