Today was story time with Princess Ariel, and it was magical.

When I walked in, some children wearing their own princess costumes were already there waiting. I took my things to the back room to set up and couldn’t help but shed a few tears when I heard a little girl exclaim, “Mom, it’s the REAL Princess Ariel!”

I do this because I never had the chance to go to theme parks as a kid or meet any of the characters. Having the privilege of bringing that magic to my small hometown, to children who may not have the opportunity to visit the parks themselves, brings me so much joy.
