Well the 2020 maple season is over for us. Again , we’ve had to learn on the fly. This year we doubled our tap count, installed a new RO machine and added a new haul truck. We knew this year was going to be tough. We don’t have any hired help, our kids don’t have licenses yet and the boss lady in charge is arm pit deep in her masters degree. Long story short , I didn’t have a lot of fun this year. It was like ground hog day..... over and over. We also battled very low sugar content this year which averaged about 1.4%. At the tail end we hauled a lot of .8 -1% sap. Not fun
Hopefully we can make some changes this summer that will make the process a bit more enjoyable. After all , you need to still enjoy what you do.

Well, here we are. All holed up in our homes for foreseeable future. Hopefully short term.
Also as I sit here and boil more sap , 2 years have gone by since we started having a website built for online sales. Two years have come and gone and we still do not have an active website. There are many reasons reasons, some in our controll but many not.
With that being said, if anyone needs or wants syrup or maple candy , please don’t hesitate to call us directly or message through face book or Instagram. It can be picked up on our porch or I can drop it off on yours as I’m still actively picking up sap. We could ship usps too if that works.

We haul all of our sap... every...last... drop. In the past we’ve used the red F 550 with an 1100 gallon tank and it’s worked well. This season we’re boiling off of almost 6000 taps....double last years tap count. We needed something that could get up our road in the mud...loaded. This 1991 5 ton military truck was the answer I came up with. Paired with with a 2500 gallon stainless tank, it makes pretty short work of emptying tanks. And it’s kinda cool too

The 2020 sugaring season has arrived and is in full swing! We’ve made a lot of improvements and added a significant amount of taps. We’re boiling off of 5800 taps as of right now. We’ve added a new 4 post RO and a new haul truck, well new to us anyway. Here’s to a great season and spring is on the way!!
