2022 MRHS Band Show-N-Tell with 1st Ever Band Parent Boot Camp

First of all, A HUGE SHOUT OUT to David Evans, the entire Band Booster Board and Chairpersons for the MRHS Band Boosters for your support helping create this event for the entire MRHS Band Community,

Second, THANK YOU to all the parents that were asked last minute to help in making the evening successful.

We know there were some "bumps" along the way, but we will learn from our mistakes to hopefully get better for future events. We hope you all had a FUN time at our 1st Ever Band Parent Boot Camp and enjoyed competing with your kids. I know for a fact that the kids enjoyed having those amazing parents out there with them. A personal thank you to my son, Kenny Hora, who helped capture the moments of the evening, so they could be seen by our current/past members of MRHS Band.

We're looking forward to the upcoming Marching Band season and hope we can continue the fun supporting our students at each competition this season.

On behalf of the Mountain Range Band Booster, thank you for coming out and supporting the MRHS Band program.

Band parents do Band Camp also!

Thank you to each and every band parent who donated their time and use of their tools to start building props for the Marching Season! It was hot, but we took advantage of as much shade as we could.
Time is of the essence and we are so excited to bring a little of the past for a successful future!

The Marching Band field at MRHS is sadly empty but anxiously awaiting another season of Talented Mustangs practicing and striving for another appearance at the State Marching Band Championships.

The first marching band rehearsals are quickly approaching, and we still need you to RSVP! Please complete our Contact Information Form as soon as possible here: tinyurl.com/bandroster This form includes a question on whether you will be attending Mini-Camp, and we need that information right away so we know how many people to feed.

If you are interested, planning on attending Moutain Range High School this Fall and have not yet expressed interest or have questions about being in band, pleaese send us a message.

Still on the fence about being involved? Here's why you should be in band!

Our informational meeting was held on April 25th, with lots of important and exciting information. In case you missed the meeting (or just need a reminder of everything), here are the highlights:

- Marching Band is an amazing experience, and teaches so many skills that just cannot be learned in a typical classroom setting. But it does also require an understanding of what it is we do and a strong commitment. Please act on and know that you commitment is needed in the form of the Band contract by June 18th (Band mini-camp)

- Our Band Boosters work tirelessly to make the band a success through fundraising and other support throughout the year. Many hands makes light work, so I encourage everyone to be involved with our Booster group. Please visit our Band Booster website at www.mrhsbandboosters.com for information on fundraising opportunities (get started now!), general band information, and ways to get involved with an activity your kids love.

- There are ongoing fundraisers already in place to help with the individual fundraising requirement. Check our fundraising page at https://www.mrhsbandboosters.com/fundraising.html for more information.

- Our first band activity of the summer is our Mini-Camp on June 17-18. We do have practices regularly during the summer, so we can start training you and so you don't lose your instrument skills. The attached Summer Band Calendar lists all of our events through the start of school. The full band calendar for the season is online on the Events page of the Booster website (see above) or at https://sites.google.com/a/adams12.org/mrhs-marching-band/. Please make sure you check here for all band activities throughout the year. Summer activities are posted, and most Fall activities are as well. Clicking on a specific event will bring up more details.

We look forward to hearing from you and seein you on June 17 and 18th!
