e check us out. We have a total of 6 comfortable rehearsal studios including a larger Showcase Room, with easy load in and plenty of parking. The rooms will be set up with exactly what you need. PA and Backline are available. We have a great staff here at Bomb Shelter who can help you with anything. It is our responsibility to help you have the best possible rehearsal. We are happy to help get the P.A. set up for you, get you microphones, dial in some vocal effects, whatever you need. Studio 2026 Update!
Finally finally our architectural and structural plan set for the new space was submitted to the City this week! It took us longer than expected to have the plans ready, but here we are. We are excited as we wait to find out what’s next.

One of the things that will be extra special about our new place is that there will be two MORE rooms than we previously had! Taking our total from 6 to 8. PLUS…these two rooms will have a feature that NO OTHER OC STUDIOS currently offer.

Rooms 7 & 8 will be called our DIY Studios. Approx 350sq ft with 12 ft ceilings. These rooms will still be functional rehearsal rooms, with a bonus…an ATTACHED Control Room plus vocal booth. We will be stocking the 2 control rooms with some amazing gear, so you can come in and get right to work! Tracking, overdubs, and mixing, at your fingertips. Book the control room/vocal booth on its own, or both the live room with the control room together. Super versatile! Engineering or producing your own project, these studios are for YOU. The two bathrooms we have at the new studios are in the center of our overall floor plan. This requires us to move the doors from one wall to a different wall, while keeping them ADA compliant. I love recycling and reusing materials, so the existing solid core bathroom doors will get moved, sanded, fixed with some bondo, and repainted. We cleaned out all the mold at the very bottom of the bathroom walls, replacing it with new drywall, I’m guessing from an old leak (toilet overflow or something). When done they will be bright, modern and CLEAN, just like the bathrooms at our previous studios! Still getting all our prep work done before ordering and building the new rooms.

More stuff being torn out, it will give us a nice blank slate so that we will be ready for all the new rooms to get built! Clearing all the extra junk that was hanging from the ceiling sure makes the warehouse look even bigger. We need to have someone come out to remove the construction debris piles we’ve been adding to. Demo is fun, but we can’t wait to get to the building part!!

We had 2,500 sq ft of linoleum tile that had to go! We rented the tile scraper and got to WORK. James and Paul started it off in the back corner and it was slow going the first day, they were just sooo glued down. James went over by himself on additional days and plowed through some of the easier sections. Couldn’t have done it without help. And just like that 2,500 sq ft of tile is gone, all that remains is a huge heavy pile of it waiting to get hauled away. Lots more work to do, still waiting on plans to be completed so we can go talk to the city planner. Big project = AMAZING results!

From the WAY BACK files!!! 27 year old me during construction of our first four rooms in the Westminster studios back in early 2000. I’m standing in the back hallway past the Room 4 door. Crazy that we are now prepping a new building where we will create more amazing memories with everyone!!

We have gotten quite a few calls lately (and we LOVE talking to people) from people asking if they can book time, unaware that we don’t currently have studios open. If you didn’t know, our previous location closed in October 2024…time flew by…we finally have a new location, but gotta do a whole new buildout! Believe me, I wish we could snap our fingers and have it done…but we are working hard to perfect and finalize the layout and design ideas. We WILL have…
8 REHEARSAL ROOMS!! One of them will be our flagship “Showcase” (multipurpose) Room with our recording studio control room directly attached. This will give us much better communication and faster access to bands who are tracking or doing a video shoot. We have lots of other cool features and surprises in store for you. As soon as we have a few more things in place, we plan to release some additional details we think you are gonna LOVE. You can’t book time just yet, but definitely stay tuned. 😁🤩

We ended 2025 with a BANG, literally!! The demolition pro’s came in and made short work of the walls we needed torn down. Dust flew. Studs fell. Possibilities expanded. The new space is officially ready for the next phase of transformation.

This is how studios are born.

I couldn’t even look through most of these photos for a long time. There are so many touching moments and “lasts” at the Westminster studios. Smiles, hugs, and tears were in abundance in those final days. I will cherish those moments forever. These are still just a fraction of the photos we have. After we were all packed, everyone left and employees went home for the last time, we spent the last two days doing final clean up and loading the last items in the car…it was completely silent. Rooms that had been home to some AMAZING music over 24 years. So many stories, so much music, careers launched, songs written and recorded. Empty silent rooms were left on the last day as we handed over the keys after final walk through. It was sad, and we were heartbroken. I am VERY proud of what we accomplished during our time there! It was hard to close and let go. So I’m sharing more of the photos as we celebrate the past, and GET EXCITED about the opportunity we have been given to START AGAIN!! Love you GUYS. XOXO

DEMO DAY!!!
Beau joined us on a couple days recently and we started taking down the old drop ceiling & fiberglass insulation in the front areas at the studio. Dusty, dirty and glad to have that part done! Will be taking down a few more of the existing walls soon to make way for all the new rooms.

It’s been a long year of searching, planning, and pouring our hearts into finding a new space that truly supports our music community — and we cannot WAIT to welcome you back.

Our new location is bigger, better, and will be designed from the ground up with musicians in mind. Fresh rooms, great sound, new energy, and the same commitment to taking care of every artist who walks through our doors. Thank you for your continued patience, support, and love. 🖤
