I interviewed accomplished students across different age groups and backgrounds to compile a list of tips to help you succeed in college with more insights.

Entering college is a significant milestone in one’s educational journey. Whether it is a transition from high school or a return to school after a long hiatus due to personal or financial reasons. College can be especially challenging when one is juggling various roles.

Many of us are parents, full-time workers, leaders, athletes, social workers and more. Excelling in college may seem impossible, but with the right strategies one can thrive in academics.

International Mother Language day is on February 21st, and although it was bittersweet to write this article in English, I found it necessary to write about it anyways in a world where indigenous languages are disappearing and kids from bilingual parents in the USA are only able to speak English! I can speak and understand three languages and write in two. this superpower gave me access to literature, cinemas, and cultures that I would have never found otherwise. I am proud to be multilingual and only wish I had known one or two more languages.

Today is 'Pi' day. Ashley Rippey got a notification on her phone while we were on break and she said apparently we are supposed to eat 'PIE' and it was funny, not because she thought it was pie not pi but because I was calling her upcoming baby Pi, and I started wondering which Pi she thought I was calling baby Pi. In my recent fictional story there's a character, the wise one, the smart one and her name was 3.1416 and it's too long so I started calling her PI and she didn't like it because she hated 'PIE', I am not a fan of 'Pie' either. But I just don't see the relation between 'Pie' and 'Pi' besides they are pronounced the same so without much context, it's hard to know which 'pi/e' you are referring to.
I was fascinated by the number when I was a child and only today I really noticed that there's a day for it and apple is also sending messages to the users about it, which I think is great.
When I got back home, I googled 'Pi day' and the first thing I found was -
''It is a day to celebrate the mathematical constant pi (π) and to EAT A LOT OF PIE. ... It is celebrated in countries that follow the month/day (m/dd) date format, because the digits in the date, March 14 or 3/14, are the first three digits of π (3.14). Pi Day was founded by Physicist Larry Shaw in 1988.''
God bless the tucked it CONSUMERISM there! That reference of Pie there! Languages are weird! Happy Pi day.

It all started a couple of hundred years ago

I have been trying to spend more time with my journals and work on my writing. The thought that 'Why would someone be interested in reading what I write?' has been keeping me away from publishing my writing. But the process of writing is a process of reevaluating and I find immense joy, sufferings and acknowledgements in it. I invite you to have a look at the first blog post where I mumble about the moon.

I don’t remember exactly of the first time I saw the moon. Do you? This not knowing, opens many portals to wander. I wonder if it was my father who showed it to me for the first time? Or was it my Maa, while singing the lullaby ‘Aay aay Chand Mama?’ The lullaby Bengali mothers have been singin...

Title of the project: Stardust
We, humans, live in the bubble of identities. Different identities rule our comprehension about the existence of ourselves and assist us to get our minds around this existence in different phases of life. We have identities of nations, races, classes, languages, etc. but one specific identity tends to be obscured that we and any other materialistic objects in this existence are the results of an enormous cosmic evolution. This realization of being the result of an unfolding cosmic drama is out of the reach of many in present social, economic, and political conditions. We are made of the same ingredients the cosmos is consists of. Consequently, the explosion of a distant supernova or the life cycle of a star is not a mere study for often regarded as “futile” astronomers. The cosmos has gone through a transformation from a singular point to a diversified present condition and still going through that process. We are the legacy of the cosmos and the diversity that it has achieved. The iron in our blood, the calcium in our bones and teeth—all of it came from the supernova explosion. We are the remnants of stars. When we question the world around us—when we ponder the vastness—aren’t we the cosmos questioning itself? This insight could help us to lift the human civilization above the looming aggression, dominance, territorial nature, and even minimize the sense of otherness among humankind originated from the R-complex of the human brain.
Now we are aware of the vastness of the cosmos. Compared to that immensity, our spinning planet is a speck of dust. But can the cosmos know itself? Every time we open our eyes, the first thing we see is light. Our perception of existence largely depends on the abilities of our eyes. Considering the cosmos as an expression the visible light is the only electromagnetic frequency band that we can see and we have constructed instruments to visualize the complete electromagnetic spectrum which includes other frequency bands such as radio, microwave, infrared, ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma-ray. The observable universe is within this electromagnetic spectrum and we are blind in terms of what we see and perceive with our eyes and instruments compared to what there is in the existence even in this cosmos.
From the beginning of human consciousness, we looked at the lights around us and asked questions. We have looked up at the same stars in much the same way that my ancestors did. The questions remain the same, and so simple— “Where are we? Who are we? Where are we going?” Stardust is a series of photographs simulating realities, depicting the evolution of the cosmos, and the exploration from the perspective of intelligent beings residing within the cosmos as they come to know themselves by observing the cosmos.
