Official training school of Pacific Festival Ballet established in 1985.

California Dance Theatre is an inspiring space to educate in many different forms of dance; however, it is also the proud training school for Pacific Festival Ballet. Through the presentation of world-class public performances, children’s outreach educational programs, and a variety of community activities, Pacific Festival Ballet supports and advances the art of dance, sustaining the traditions of classical ballet while creating new and ground-breaking theatre. Presenting three seasons of dance annually, each performance affords company dancers (drawn from Agoura Hills-based California Dance Theatre, the company's training school), returning professional alumni and world-renown guest artists the opportunity to explore the different facets of the art of dance and provides a living canvas for creative expression and exploration. Continuing a tradition that has spanned over two decades, Pacific Festival Ballet strives to groom tomorrow’s stars of the dance world while bringing the biggest and brightest talent from across the globe to audiences throughout the Conejo Valley.

Classes have started, and registration is still open. Just one class a week is all it takes to begin. Creative Dance at California Dance Theatre welcomes dancers age 3 for a single weekly class built around freedom of movement, props, music, and playful problem solving. It is a gentle first step that fits perfectly around a preschool schedule.

Did your little one just start kindergarten? Registration is still open for Primary B. Designed for 5 year olds, Primary B combines classical ballet with jazz in one age-appropriate class, building posture, musicality, and the focus to carry a full class from start to finish. It is the natural bridge from preschool play into our leveled training. The season is underway and spots remain.

For children ages 3 to 9, it builds coordination, listening skills, focus, and confidence that carry over into everyday life. At California Dance Theatre, our youngest dancers learn through play, music, and movement in a warm, supportive studio.
