S E N I O R 🎓✨ S H O U T O U T

Hi! My name is Kristyn and I have been dancing at SRDC since I was two years old! This fall I will be attending Umass Lowell to study Elementary Education and Moderate Disabilites!

Everyday at the studio is a day I’ll never forget but if I had to pick one of my favorite memories it would be any time I’ve spent with the younger companies backstage. Waiting to go on stage is such a special and nerve wracking time for them. Getting to watch them from the wings and see all their hard work pay off is a feeling I’ll never forget!

My advice to younger dancers would be remember that it’s okay to make mistakes. Being perfect is silly and there’s always ways to improve. Remember dance is about more than just getting the steps and performing them but how you feel when you are dancing. Let dance be your outlet and don’t be so hard on yourself.

I would like to thank my family for the endless support and encouragement. I know competition and recital weekends can be long but knowing you guys are always in the audience makes every second worth it. I’d also like to thank all the dancers who make this family so special. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be who I am. You guys are my village. Thank you to all the staff who have taught me far beyond how to point my toes (ifykyk🫠). Last but not least, to the three people who have created a place for me to call home, thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. You’ve been my biggest supporters my whole life and I am so grateful to have a KLL. I am so lucky to be apart of this forever family.

S E N I O R 🎓✨ S H O U T O U T

Hi!! My name is Makayla Cassie and I have danced at SRDC for 13 years!! In the fall, I will be attending Umass Lowell for Digital Media. I will also be apart of their dance team!

My favorite memories are the long competition weekends, where I get to cheer on my dance family. I also love the times in the studio when we laugh so hard we cry!

My advice for younger dancers is to always put your best foot forward and never stop reaching for your goals! And make sure you point your toes!!

I’m so grateful for my mom for signing me up for dance when I was 5 years old, it truly shaped who I am today. Thank you for always showing up for me, supporting me, and believing in me every step of the way.

I also want to thank my second family at SRDC. The love, encouragement, and memories I’ve gained means so much to me. A special thank you to Miss Lindsey, Miss Kayla, Miss Lauren and the rest of the amazing staff for everything you’ve done for me. I’m beyond thankful for all of you. I love you all so much!! ❤️
