Westfield State Competitive Dance Team The WSU Dance Team is a competitive team that performs at men's & women's basketball games, local competitions, & at UDA nationals every year in FL!

The Westfield State Dance Team is a competitive hip-hop and jazz team that performs at Football games, Men and Women’s Basketball games, local competitions, and UDA Nationals every year in Orlando, Florida! Our team consists of about 22 women. We have tryouts at the end of the spring semester and at the beginning of the fall semester every year. Our coach is Alia Desrosiers Camerota. Alia has been coaching this team for the past 10 years

Hey dancers! Want to be a part of the Westfield State Dance Team? WSUDT is holding our annual Spring Tryouts on Saturday April 12th from 10AM-1PM located in the Woodward Center upstairs dance studio. There will be signs posted on the doorways for new students that are unfamiliar with the building, so no need to stress! Tryouts are open to all WSU full time students and incoming first years!

We are a dominantly competitive hip hop team that also dabbles in styles such as jazz, game day, and pom for on campus performances. In addition to on campus events, we perform and travel to Orlando each year to compete at UDA Nationals as well as our Regional competition in Beverly, MA!

For tryouts, we will teach a short hip hop combo, break down some team tricks we do, and give more information on what it means to be on our team! And with that, the 2024-2025 Owl Girl Season has come to an end. Tonight, we got to look back on all of the memories we have made this season and all of the accomplishments we have worked so hard for, as well as be able to celebrate each other and bond as a team for a final time. We also acknowledged our graduating Senior Captain, Emma, for the last time as she leaves the nest shortly, wishing her the best of luck on her future endeavors. We had a blast at our annual team banquet and enjoyed spending one last time all together as a way to wrap up this unforgettable season.

1st Place Open Hip Hop 2025 UDA Regional Champions!💙🥇🤍

We are so excited to announce that yesterday at the 2025 UDA New England Dance Challenge, we danced our hearts out and successfully achieved another banner for all of our hard work! We have received this honor 15 times now, and each time is more and more special! We are beyond grateful for all of our supporters, family, and friends that have followed us along on this journey as well as for our coaches, captains, and choreographer who pushed our team to new limits. We are incredibly proud of ourselves for all the growth we have achieved this past season as we close this chapter, and start to prepare for the next. What an amazing end to our season and we cannot wait for the next one!!

The Owl Girls of the 2024-2025 season wanted to take a moment to recognize all of the support we have gotten from many businesses, companies, and family members this year.
