B & R Chainsaw Sculptures Crowd Shock'n, Wood Rock'n, Show Stopp'n, High Powered, High Performance Chainsaw Art I should let you know a little about myself.

I was raised on a farm in Northwest Iowa and have lived in the area all my life. I am married with one grown daughter and a grandson. I have a full time job, while also helping out on the family farms. I am a self-taught carver, I should say that I am very creative and have a wild imagination. I think I got that from being raised on a farm and from my mom who was an author of many books. I travel all over the country demonstrating my skill/talent.

Pretty proud of Tayven, he did a awesome job carving at the fairs this year, not only that, with the wind damage in akron Scott was tied up during the Woodbury fair, I had to work, Tayven stepped up and went down and set up everything starting demo's until I got there, then helped me get logs ready to carve then put everything away while I talked to people, he's stepped right in on being part of the Northwest Iowa Extream Chainsaw artists!,,

Well it's that time of year! Northwest Iowa Extream Chainsaw artists Scott Toben and Tayven Smith have started off Rocking carvings out at the Osceola county fair last night, they will be at the Ida county fair today and tomorrow. I'll be joining them tomorrow. We will be next at the Plymouth county fair, July 24 to July 27,, after that the Woodbury county fair July 30th to August 2nd,, Make sure to stop by and watch a demo and visit,,

Well it's getting close,, Tayven and I are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday July 5th at the Platte Creek Store, located at the Platte Creek recreation area, Platte South Dakota. I am hoping to be there around 10 am or so,, Tayven and will set up and plan on doing some carving demo's around 12 noon, we will be there until early afternoon,, we have been working hard at some new carvings for everyone to see. Well we are getting close, just a quick reminder that we will be at the Platte Creek Store on Saturday July 5th around 10 am till early afternoon. I plan on doing carving demo's around noon, Tayven will also be putting on a demo soon after,, I am really excited to see everyone again, I and Tayven have been putting together some pretty cool and different carvings for you to see. Alot of new ideas. I will give another reminder in a few days with more pictures, thanks and see you soon,,

Well for the last few years I would venture out carving closer to home because I had stayed in motels for the most of 17yrs carving at fairs and events across the midwest. I still love to do carving demo's and entertain as long as I my body will up with it. Robin and I, Tayven and Mylee, decided that this would be the way to go,, I have been busy getting carving shows to attend.

Eurica Springs Arkansas, mid April!
Plymouth, Osceola, Ida,Woodbury, county fairs in July.

July 4th week , sometime to decided after I talk to Adam at the Platte Creek Store , Platte Creek South Dakota,

3rd weekend in August Logan Kansas, At the Dane Hanson Museum,,

Bozeman Montana! 2nd and 3rd week in September!

Sounds like alot but some will be done with Scott Toben under the Northwest Iowa Extream Chainsaw artists , Also my grandson carving with me regularly now, I am very lucky to have these two! Scott has turned into a world class carver and is starting to do most of the fair booking for us,, Tayven is developing his own style,, and is very artistic,,
So with that being said I hope to see everyone this summer!!!
