Serious question: For those of you who also live in an HOA...what are your neighborhood's "regulations" for Halloween/holiday/seasonal decorations?

Apparently our HOA categorizes us under "noxious and offensive activities that rise to the level of a nuisance" and that we "detract from the character of the community." Among other things. 🙄

At least they did when we got a nasty letter from their lawyer all the way back in MARCH, letting us know that our little community haunt "violates numerous provisions" in our HOA declarations. Which is funny bc OUR atty looked at our bylaws and something smells pretty bad about all this since the one actual rule they might be able to get us on is vague and highly subjective. Kinda smells like an old soggy ham sandwich. Maybe we will post the letter and see what everyone thinks...

So... yeah. We would LOVE to hear about everyone else's experience with their HOA and seasonal celebrations!
