AN EVENING WITH GLENN THOMAS | JULY 10 | 7:00pm - Westerly native turned Nashville resident, Glenn Thomas returns to the UNITED’s gallery events space for an intimate evening of music from his solo and full band career.
Glenn Thomas writes songs that cut straight to his truths. By putting his life and the human condition under the microscope, Glenn’s songs articulately observe the big questions with small details. Raised in a small New England town, Glenn writes with careful attention to his understanding of himself and the seasonality of life.
Glenn’s poignant, reflective songs have been praised by press and songwriting veterans alike and have led him to perform across the country with national acts such as Edie Brickell, Langhorne Slim, The Barr Brothers, Gayle, Blitzen Trapper, Joe Pug, The Ballroom Thieves, Eve6, Watsky, Rubblebucket, and many others. With the alternative-rock outfit he fronts, Wild Sun, his music has been featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard, Spin, and Entertainment Weekly, as well as a cover of Elliott Smith’s “Easy Way Out” on the nationally acclaimed “Say Yes! A Tribute to Elliott Smith” album featuring J. Mascis, Julien Baker, and Amanda Palmer.
His second album “Inevitables,” was released on July 31, 2025. The album was entirely self recorded and produced at his Nashville, TN based studio Old Salt Recording. His debut LP “Reassure Me There’s a Window,” was released in 2020 via Palace Flophouse Records to praise from Billboard, Bluegrass Situation, PopMatters, and more. His songs have landed on several Spotify editorial playlists and SiriusXM.

JEREMIAH JOHNSON (1972) | JUNE 8 | 12:00PM & 7:00PM - Robert Redford gives a largely wordless, commanding performance as a mountain man carving out a solitary life in the 19th century Rockies. Sydney Pollack's revisionist Western is a beautiful, melancholy meditation on solitude and survival.
"Stunning in its landscape and its quiet humanity." – The Los Angeles Times
Free for seniors as part of the REWIND Series.
