How Flip Side was born...
After meeting online in 2011, one of Mark & Dana’s first dates revolved around playing a Family Guy pinball machine & drinking craft beer (thanks Willibrew)! For Mark, he was reunited with a hobby he once enjoyed during college and while living in Breckenridge, CO. For Dana, pinball was something new & exciting. Christmas came & their first pinball machine was the only gift they purchased (thanks Bundy). Six years, one marriage & forty-six machines later, Flip Side Pinball Bar is born.
Located across from the train station in downtown Westerly, RI, we tout nine pristine pinball machines, all of which have been lovingly restored & maintained by Mark. Rotating machines range from vintage (1970) to modern (2017) & everything in between. Supporting the local craft beer movement, we feature rotating taps from our good friends at Grey Sail, Revival, Whalers & Beer’d alongside an extensive can list from breweries throughout New England & a few other favorites. Wine is hand-selected by Dana with guidance from her friend Jon from Sonoma Wine Group. As for cocktails? Our list is creatively concocted by our team using ingredients from local distilleries like Sons of Liberty & Flag Hill. If booze ain’t your thing, we’ve got you covered with non-alcoholic beers & sodas. Regardless of your drinking preferences, you need to be 21 to hang out & play pinball!
