Hello Summer in the Valley! As the weather heats up so does the visitor season here in Westcliffe and the gallery is in full swing with "An Abstract View." If you haven't stopped by to see this remarkable show, you are missing out on the creative talents of our guild artists.
As we celebrate our country and Colorado this year, we also celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sangres Art Guild becoming a non-profit and the opening of the 3rd Street Gallery. WOW! Has it really been 20 years! We have so many talented artists in this valley and many of them are on exhibit in the 3rd Street Gallery.
I would like to thank all our past and present volunteers over the years for making this organization a success. We could not have done it without you. Now let's prepare together for the next 20 years!
-Eileen Piasecki-Couch, SAG President
I have spent more than 20 years working in finance, where attention to detail, patience, and problem-solving were part of everyday life. During my career, I served as Finance Director for Custer County and as Accounting and Payroll Manager for UAACOG. While I enjoyed the analytical side of finance, photography became my creative outlet and a true passion.
My husband and I have lived in the Wet Mountain Valley for the past 10 years. I find endless inspiration in the natural world. I enjoy photographing wildlife, birds, wildflowers, and the ever-changing light across the landscape. I strive to capture the beauty, character, and fleeting moments that often go unnoticed.
My background in finance taught me discipline and precision, while photography allows me to slow down, observe, and connect with nature. I hope my images encourage others to pause, appreciate their surroundings, and find wonder in the simple details of the world around us.
I look forward to serving as the Treasurer and Bookkeeper and working with the SAG Board. -Lisa Bivins

SAG Celebrates 20 Years!
With many $20 purchases of the new SAG Fine Art 18-month (July 2026 to December 2027) Calendar it would make it "Christmas in July" for SAG and financially strengthen our organization.
We need your help to sell 500 calendars. We know that's a lot of calendars when most people no longer use a paper calendar...For only $20 you can enjoy the passing of time with fine art painted right here in the Wet Mountain Valley. We greatly appreciate your support of SAG as we celebrate our 20th year!
