This is my “get myself out of the house” plan for the summer: pop-up street shows, first fridays and club night vending. All laminated all originals (some more original than others) @.50 and up discounts for multiples. Even have frames if you want to pop it in a frame. But the laminate concept really changes everything i can carry so many pieces with me and display them so much more easily. Anyway: today i am answering the question “what’s moving into reny’s”? Me…for today at least.

That studio was so great but they wouldn’t let me paint with oils.

Was just up at the studio where I rarely work these days because I went back to oils and they are not allowed there. Miss the studio. Def a creative space for me I did a lot of work there.

This was the wall i was on literally when the second shutdown happened and i had to leave Mammoth and come home. Kind of the culmination of that series/period and i realize my current wall is taking me to a very similar place…without me being aware of it. I realize i find it freeing not being bound to my chosen medium Oil Painting. It’s a really a whole different thing. Those were painted with crayola kids watercolors which i loved. Now i am working with oil pastels and my current stuff is mixed media where i am drawing over my own screenprints which i really enjoy. I even dug the screens and printing gear from storage. I’ll get back to oils someday but this is where i am going for now. It’s relaxing and good for my soul.
