The 2026 Summer Concert Season schedule for the Maine Pops Concert Band and its affiliated small group ensembles has been released. The Scarborough-based concert band will perform five public and two private band concerts, performing materials from its 2025 fall concert, its 2026 spring concert, and a selection of popular and patriot tunes as the Nation prepares for its 250th birthday.
Under the direction of David Watts, the concert band is slated for these five public performances:
June 27 - Robert Browne Hall Day Music Festival, Westbrook Community Center, Westbrook, ME, 9 a.m.
July 15 - Heseltine Park, Woodfords Corner Community, Portland, ME, 7 p.m.
July 22 - St. David's Episcopal Church, Kennebunk, ME, 7 p.m.
August 7 - Bath Library Park Gazebo, Bath, ME, 6:30 p.m.
August 21 - Scarborough Summerfest, Scarborough, ME, 6 p.m..
In addition to the concert band performances, three of the Maine Pops' nine active small ensembles will have separate performance this summer.
June 28 - Harbor Brass Quintet Church Service Performance, St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, Scarborough, ME, 9:30 a.m.
July 17 - Harbor Brass Quintet Performance, Yarmouth Clam Festival, Yarmouth, ME, 3:30 p.m.
July 19 - Beach Street Big Band, Yarmouth Clam Festival, Yarmouth, ME, 11:30 a.m.
July 29 - Beach Street Big Band, Jordan Hall, Ocean Park, ME, 7 p.m.
August 26 - Polished Brass Ensemble, Camp Timanous Beach, Raymond, ME, 6 p.m.
Harbor Brass also has tentative engagements slated at the Portland International Jetport arrival hall on July 19, July 31, August 22 and August 28. Performance times will be announced at a later date.
