I am happy to announce that "Sound of the Police", a film I scored for Firelight Films' producers Stanley Nelson and Valerie Scoon has been nominated for the "Outstanding Social Issue Documentary" Emmy. It currently streams on the ABC / Hulu network.

We're currently adding many new pieces as well as initiating some welcome upgrades to the website. The player will be upgraded to a much faster player as well as internally showing which piece is being auditioned. More to come....

Currently OBT is working on a film concerning PTSD by taking some of our existing pieces and molding them to fit the film better. We call it a hybrid way to use the library. We're also about to start on another American Experience...this one on Tuxedo Park where enclave of physicists gathered in secret in that New York State town to work on developing radar and nuclear fission in the late 1930's (which lead to the Manhattan Project). Radar helped to defeat the N***s in WW2 by locating enemy submarines and aircraft, and the Manhattan Project lead to the final conclusion of the war in the Pacific.

Finished composing the scores to 2 great films recently. One is a 6 hour PBS mini series called The Great War. It will premiere on PBS's American Experience on April 10, 2017 at 9pm, and run for the next 2 consecutive nights in 2 hour installments. A really interesting analysis of the American involvement in WW1. The other film is a Stanley Nelson production entitled Tell Them We are Rising. It's the history of Black Colleges and Universities in the United States. It premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and will be broadcast on PBS's Independent Lens.
