𝗨𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴! Curated by 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝘘𝘶𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘴𝘺𝘯𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 explores the alternate temporalities of q***r and trans experience – ways of inhabiting time that unfold alongside, against, or beyond dominant narratives of development, productivity, or progress.

Through sculpture, video, photography, and painting, artists 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘂, 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲, 𝗗𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗹𝘆𝗻𝗻, 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘆𝗲 & 𝗥𝘆 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘁 engage asynchrony as both a lived condition and critical framework.

🌸🧵🌸🧵 Through vibrant compositions and intricate stitching, 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 draws on motifs and iconography from her Jamaican heritage, weaving together personal and collective histories. Across the solo exhibition 𝘈 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘖𝘶𝘳𝘴, 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗲 traces the evolving contours of childhood, kinship, and masculinity, moving from boyhood into the tender uncertainties of becoming.

The photographs linger in the in-between spaces of adolescence and early adulthood, where identity is shaped through connection.

🌿📿🌿📿 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵’𝘀 practice considers adornment as a language of identity and lineage. His use of beads evokes continuity, ritual, and the marking of time, functioning as both material and metaphor. Through his exploration of familial connection and inherited knowledge, Shadrach extends portraiture beyond the face, emphasizing tactility, presence, and the quiet persistence of memory embedded in objects and materials.

A huge congratulations to 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴 who been announced as a Spring 2026 recipient of an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant! 👏

The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation provides invaluable support to young representational artists from around the world in the fields of painting, sculpture, printmaking, and drawing.

In being awarded this grant, Stefan Berg joins a legacy of 2000 artists from 80 countries who have been supported by the Greenshields Foundation to experiment and push the boundaries of their practice.
