When I go out, my outfit is the main character✨
Swipe through to see all (most) of the details that went into my outfit for the Rock n Roll/Music theme at the gallery where my painting was showing.
The reference photo I used for my painting was me, from 2012- my very first photo shoot.
I then used that painting as inspo- in its neon and bedazzled glory- and put together an outfit.
I’ve had these Barbie headphones since 2012 (from that photoshoot) and they were never very good, so they’ve been hanging on a mannequin for years. I knew I wanted to use them in the outfit. They were old, and not nearly sparkly enough. So I rhinestoned them and used them as a necklace.
I had the Boombox purse, so that was easy. 😉
Then I thought about what Barbie things I could add (because thats basically my thought process for everything) And I remembered we had a couple of old Barbie boomboxes from my childhood. It needed to be rhinestoned -obviously- and since it was hollow I filled the back with resin and added ring hardware to it.
And, since I was already knee-deep in rhinestones- why not add a couple to my set of ridiculously long press on nails? Can I do anything while wearing these? Absolutely not. Does it matter? No, it does not.
The shoes I started painting 3 years ago and never finished. (They were beige- ew 😉)
Then I decided it was time to bedazzle them a month ago, and this was the perfect event to debut them!
My hair was also freshly bleached (and i even kept it just blonde, without the pink!) to match the original photo and the painting 🥰
