Check out this audition call from our friends over at Ghouls and Girls Theatre . They will be remounting our 2022 production of "Girls Night Cabin Fever" at the Toronto Fringe Festival this Year.

Audition Notice Girls’ Night Cabin Fever Ghouls and Girls Theatre

Overview
Girls and Ghouls Theatre is proud to announce our upcoming remount of Girls’ Night Cabin Fever at the 2024 Toronto Fringe Festival. The production first appeared at the 2022 Guelph Fringe Festival. Girls’ Night Cabin Fever by Cassie Davidson, is a horror-farce that follows three childhood best friends reuniting to rekindle their friendship at an isolated cabin. When the girls’ weekend does not live up to their expectations, tempers flare between the friends. As the drinks keep flowing and their imaginations run wild, what is truly terrifying is the unknown.

Role
Charlie – 25-35, Female/Non-Binary

Charlie is a nurse from the friend’s small hometown, Edenville. She is pragmatic, sensible and is not easily shaken. As the only member of the friend trio to have stayed in their hometown, she is the source for all the local gossip and news. Charlie is full of ‘folksy’ wisdom, often quoting bizarre aphorisms from her family; but when push comes to shove, Charlie is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get dirty. Though her friends mean well, they are often concocting schemes to help find Charlie a romantic partner, which she is obviously not interested in.

Performance Dates
Girls’ Night Cabin Fever will be performed at the 2024 Toronto Fringe Festival, July 3rd – 14th. We will receive our specific performance dates and times at the end of March once they are assigned by the festival. Our venue is The Tarragon Extraspace.

Compensation
This production will operate under a profit share model, with each member of the cast and crew receiving one equal portion.

Eligibility
This production operates under the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association’s Artists’ Festival Policy. Both Union and Non-union performers are encouraged to audition.

Rehearsal Schedule
We will have approximately 7 – 10 rehearsals, starting from the week of April 22nd – the week of June 24th. We are currently looking at Mondays, Tuesdays OR Wednesdays as an option for our weekly rehearsal date. Once the cast and crew is finalized, we will see which day works best for everyone.

Audition Requirements
Please send a resume and headshot to [email protected] with the subject line “Audition submission for Charlie” and we will send you a copy of the sides. Submissions are due March 24th, 2024.
