It was hot, then a random thunderstorm tried to wash us away, but we prevailed at the thewncrenaissancefaire today. I have enjoyed this weekend so much so far. One more day. Come out tomorrow and get yourself a new ride at my friends tent next door to me. Cauldron and Keys have some great brooms, cheap insurance and even cheaper gas!

Day one of the thewncrenaissancefaire is in the bag. It was super hot out but I had a lot of fun meeting new friends! Looking forward to tomorrow! If you are in the area, come out and visit!

Art just gives it somewhere beautiful to live!
Art is such a wonderful magical tool for many reasons.
It gives you something to focus on.
It gives you something to put your intention into. It’s a visual representation of what you’re trying to manifest into the world.
The creation of art is a magical process.
There are so many things about art that are magical. I truly believe this is one of the reasons why a lot of witches and magical practitioners collect so many beautiful things. We keep beautiful things to put into our grimoires or book of shadows. Things we hang up on the wall. Figurines and statues for our altar and shelves. We know that those pieces of art hold energy.
It’s just not usually something we think too much about.
I am making something for people who believe art is magical! Details coming soon.

Every piece I make is a collaboration whether I asked for one or not. The cats have opinions. The cats will share them. The cats will sit directly on the wet paint.
This is fine. This is the process. The art is better for it probably.

Normal people: go to sleep at a reasonable hour.
Me at 2am: adding a third layer of detail to a mushroom that definitely didn't need it but now cannot be stopped.
The art that comes out of these sessions is always my favorite. Chaotic brain hours produce unhinged beautiful things.

The mushroom is smiling. Someone is describing a crime scene in my earbuds. The art is somehow better for it.

I have accepted that my whole personality is a contradiction and honestly it makes the art better.
