Who's who in the cast!
Meet Kane Black, who plays Pete, a successful dentist looking for meaning after a difficult heartbreak. We asked Kane some thoughts about his character. Here are his thoughts!
Who is your character to you?
"Pete is a well-intentioned, slightly chaotic guy who's doing his best to keep it together after life throws him a major curveball. To me, he's relatable: Flawed but funny, stuck but still trying. He's the kind of person you can't help but root for, even when he's his own worst enemy."
What is your favorite holiday and why?
"Halloween. I love the creativity of it... the costumes, the atmosphere, the nostalgia. It lent itself perfectly to what I loved doing as a kid, which was impressions and pretending to be other people. Looking back, that might have been the earliest spark that led me towards acting. Christmas is a close second. I love the lights and decorations, the time with friends and family, and that feeling of wrapping up the year and starting fresh."
What is a tradition you share with your family that is particularly special or important to you?
"This is something we do with both Halloween and Christmas: We drive around to see lights and decorations in nearby neighborhoods. It's something simple but it's a chance to slow down and appreciate the creativity and spirit of the season, and just enjoy being together."
