Ever wonder what’s happening under the hair? I’m just starting to work on a new custom commission, so it’s the perfect opportunity for a bit of a “behind the weft” process view.
This is a hard front wig base, pinned properly so the foundation stays accurate and secure before any styling begins.

It often feels like I spend just as much time cleaning my work space as I do styling in it. Is it worth it? Yes. Do I have to like it? Nope. The real question is: why does it have to be so tiring?!

The supplier I used to get my base wigs from started having major quality inconsistencies, so I had to switch If you can’t really tell the difference between the base wigs when curled, which is most important in your opinion?

MINI TUTORIAL TIME! If you have cork and canvas wig blocks like I do, you know that they like to hold onto product, and they take forever to dry if you use steam on them directly, if they ever DO dry completely. Covering your cork and canvas wig blocks means they’ll last you MUCH longer and you’ll save money since the supplies to cover them are a lot cheaper than a whole new wig block!

DISCLAIMER: NOT A SINGLE CUSTOMER HAS SAID THIS TO ME. I’ve been so blessed to get to work with AMAZING and beyond patient customers! But I know plenty of other stylists who have had something similar said to them either directly or through comments on social media.

If a stylist says it’s going to take a specific amount of time for you to receive a wig from them, there’s usually a good reason. Trust us, we want to get your wig to you as quickly as possible, and trust us, we’ll make it WORTH THE WAIT 💚🥀
