March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month!
This month, we celebrate inclusion, raise awareness, and highlight the contributions of people with developmental disabilities.
Spotlight on TJ
TJ is a truly kind-hearted and caring individual whose positivity shines wherever he goes. He brings enthusiasm and dedication to everything he does, whether he’s at work or spending time doing the things he loves.
TJ works two days a week at the Precinct Café, where he helps keep things running smoothly by running errands, cleaning, stocking supplies, and welcoming customers with his friendly smile. He also works part-time with us here at the Adams County Board of Developmental Disabilities, where his efforts help keep our office clean, organized, and cheerful. From assisting with moving items to decorating for the holidays, TJ takes pride in every task he completes, making our environment a brighter place for everyone.
TJ is involved in various important groups, including People’s First Advocacy were he attends meetings monthly and contributes his voice about awareness and inclusion.
Outside of work, TJ enjoys playing basketball, bowling, exploring genealogy, and spending quality time with his friends at home and at Venture Productions. His favorite food is hot dogs, and his favorite local spot to eat is Snappy’s Tomato Pizza. If given the chance to take a dream vacation, TJ would love to visit Myrtle Beach and enjoy some time by the ocean. TJ’s favorite person is his dear friend, Dylan Lowe, whom he hangs out with daily.
We are truly honored to know TJ and grateful to be a part of his journey. His kindness, hard work, and warm personality make a wonderful difference in our community every day.
