Lindsay Carretero, a Florida native, has a vibrant passion for life and the performing arts. Enthusiastically pursuing her education towards voice work, Lindsay obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. With focused training in Linklater Voice, the Alexander Technique, Fitzmaurice Voicework, and Estill, she is experienced in coaching public speaking, breath and support, projection, text, articulation and diction, alignment and anatomy, phonetics, accents and dialects. The oldest, continuous Acting Class in Palm Beach County. July spots available with Bob !
Mr. Carter studied for six years with master teachers Lee and Paula Strasberg in their private classes above Carnegie Hall. He also audited the works of Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner, Robert Lewis, and Herbert Berghof. He bases his teaching on a combination of the master teachers’ work. The Actors’ Workshop started in 1978 and has continued uninterrupted which establishes it as the longest running acting class in South Florida. Designed for the actors of all levels, actors will work on scripted material as well as speech & diction and acting exercises. Assistance will be provided in search for material to work on in class.

This class runs month to month, giving acting students the freedom to study when they have the time or are not cast in a show. Please note: Registering for the next month is necessary to remain in the class after the month is up.

When: This July Series is scheduled for Sundays 6:00 – 8:00pm – July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th

From The King Foundation website :
“During the mid–late fifties, Mrs. King performed concerts and recitals throughout the South. She also conceived and organized a series of Freedom Concerts as fundraising efforts to benefit the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) throughout the 1960s. These critically acclaimed concerts combined poetry, narration, and music to tell the story of the Civil Rights Movement.”
