Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement as we’ve launched the fundraising campaign for Actor’s Rep. Your belief in our mission has meant the world to us.
When we first created our GoFundMe, our hope was to raise enough funds to preserve the theater’s longtime physical home. However, after much reflection and conversation, it’s become clear that the goal of saving the current space is no longer feasible.
While the building may no longer be available to us, Actor’s Rep is more than just four walls; it’s a community, a legacy, and a creative spirit that deserves to continue.
Thanks to your donations and support, we are now focusing on:
- Honoring and preserving the 40+ year legacy of Bob Carter’s Actor’s Rep
- Supporting a thoughtful transition for the organization
- Exploring future opportunities for programming, performance, and education
- Sustaining our mission of free-thinking, inclusive, and bold theater in South Florida
We’ve updated the campaign description to reflect this new direction, and we remain committed to using every dollar raised to steward Actor’s Rep through this next chapter with care, creativity, and integrity.
