Apparently I’ve said “I have a complaint” enough times that it was time to expand my vocabulary. 😂

So on today’s episode of How to Raise a Flight Attendant’s Blood Pressure for Absolutely No Reason…

“I have a grievance.” 😌

Meet Carrie & Nicole from our Southwest Airlines flight from Palm Beach to Baltimore.

After the grievances were formally addressed, blood pressures returned to normal, and nobody had me removed from the aircraft… Nicole casually tells me she’s actually seen some of my videos on Instagram lately.

EXCUSE ME?! 😭😂
Now I’m the one flustered.

Anyway… PART 1.

Because there was still one more flight attendant I hadn’t gotten to yet.

Her name is Victoria.

And unfortunately… I made her cry. 😭

7AM flight = we’re keeping everybody’s cortisol levels DOWN. 😂☕️

Normally, I like to start these interactions with a little harmless chaos. An “I have a complaint…” here, a fake confrontation there. But this was a 7AM flight from Palm Beach to Baltimore, and quite frankly, nobody had even had enough coffee for all that. 😂

So this episode of is a little more chill.

No complaints. No suspicious behavior. No unnecessarily concerned airline employees.

Just a portrait and a little “thank you” for the people who make traveling a little more pleasant. ❤️💙💛

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞: 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞.

We got there around 10AM and this place was PACKED🫪

They’re known for their over-the-top brunch dishes, including their famous 𝐂𝐚𝐩’𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬.

But honestly? The food wasn’t the only entertainment.

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐢

She was basically a walking emcee, comedian AND server all rolled into one. 😂 She kept the entire room entertained, kept the energy going, and somehow managed to do all of that while actually taking care of everyone.

I genuinely don’t know how she maintains that level of energy all morning, but she’s one of those people who becomes part of the reason you remember a place and part of the reason you want to come back.

And because Niki has such a big, fun personality, I wanted her portrait to have a little bit of that same energy too.

Just my little way of saying: Thank you. I see you. ❤️

Drawing Strangers in the Wild: Gate Agent Edition ✈️🎨

This time I walked up to our gate agent Randi and asked:

“𝑯𝒊… 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑰 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖?” 😂

No, I wasn’t actually trying to get an aisle seat. My “bribe” was a portrait I had secretly drawn of her.

Randi was one of the two gate agents working our flight that morning, and I’m glad I was able to start her day with a cool surprise. 𝑯𝑶𝑾𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹. 𝑾𝑬 𝑯𝑨𝑽𝑬 𝑨 𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑩𝑳𝑬𝑴.

There was another gate agent working alongside her and SHE was actually the one who helped fix our seating arrangement at the last minute. The problem? I didn’t get the chance to do hers. 😭

But guess what? I MADE HER PORTRAIT!

So now I am officially calling on the 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒘𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚 for assistance❤️💛💙

If anyone recognizes the lovely gate agent in the last photo, PLEASE help me find her! I just want to make sure she gets the portrait I made for her.

Because nobody gets left behind in 𝑫𝒓𝒂𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒊𝒍𝒅.❤️

Part 2 ✈️❤️

Meet Daz.

By the time I walked over to hand him his portrait, Joseph had already prepped the scene😂

So I took a deep breath, walked over, and ran my whole spiel.

His reaction? A huge bear hug.

And then he told me I had “𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬.” 😂

The truth is, this crew had been carrying the weight of everyone’s frustration over circumstances they couldn’t control.

I’m just grateful I got the chance to end their day on a happier note.

That’s what 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 has always been about.

Not just drawing faces.

But reminding people that someone noticed them.

Part 1 ✈️❤️

Yesterday, my sister, my dad, and I flew to Baltimore for the day. We checked two places off our foodie bucket list—Blue Moon Cafe for brunch and Faidley’s Famous Crab Cakes at Lexington Market—before flying back home to Palm Beach that same evening.

Of course… I packed my sketchbook.

This week’s Drawing Strangers in the Wild takes us aboard Southwest Airlines.

Meet Mitzi & Joseph.

Our flight from Baltimore back to Palm Beach started with a delay. Our crew was still on an incoming Southwest flight, and because some of those passengers were connecting onto our flight, we all had to wait for them to arrive. Understandably, people were frustrated. We watched that frustration get directed toward the flight attendants.

Flight attendants have no control over the weather, delays from previous flights or air traffic control… yet they’re often the ones who absorb everyone’s frustration.

So while everyone else saw uniforms, I saw people.

I spent the flight drawing their portraits and surprised them before we landed.

One of them said something I’ll never forget:

“This is one of the worst flights we’ve worked of all time, and you just turned it around.”

That’s exactly why I started Drawing Strangers in the Wild.

To remind people that kindness still has a place in this world.

One of my favorite parts about traveling is that sometimes the best memories aren’t the places—they’re the people.

A few weeks ago, we were in Tampa for the Asian Food Festival. On our last morning, we stopped by Dip & Happy for brunch, and let me tell you… the Dubai Chocolate Pancakes and the Shakshuka were absolutely worth it. 🤤

Our server was Gabby.

She took such great care of us that I couldn’t leave without pulling out my sketchbook. So while we waited, I quietly worked on a little surprise.

This is Gabby’s portrait. ❤️

Thank you for your kindness, your warm smile, and for making our last morning in Tampa such a wonderful one.

Because sometimes the best souvenir isn’t something you buy, it’s a connection you make with a stranger.
