St. Cloud Halloween Parade, West Orange, NJ (2026)

Part of what makes the St Cloud Halloween Parade such a great experience for everyone is the sense of community it creates.

As such, this page will try to only focus on positivity wherever we can.

This includes the output of the page and commentary on any of our posts. The parade isn't a place to discuss politics or anything else other than the parade itself, and maybe how it makes you feel to be part of it.

We are actively removing ourselves from forums which have drifted into more negative waters.

What this means in a practical sense is that this page (St. Cloud Halloween Parade) and this year's event page (The 2026 St. Cloud Halloween Parade) are going to be the best places to find updates.

While we will continue to participate in other forums (like the St. Cloud Neighborhood, West Orange, NJ, West Orange 411, West Orange Special Needs Network, & West Orange, NJ Parents pages, to name a few), using the St. Cloud Halloween Parade group as the primary outlet will help us keep the positivity we believe the event creates as a top-of-mind-consciousness issue.

It’s on! Our permit is approved and the 2026 St. Cloud Halloween Parade is officially on the schedule.

𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟭, 𝟱-𝟵𝗽𝗺 -- 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 (𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲)
𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁: 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰.*

More “organized trick-or-treating area” than parade, this is a wholesome, well-attended family event that draws kids from West Orange, and sometimes well beyond. Police close the streets to through traffic from 5-9pm, which makes a safe, fairly level walking route for trick-or-treaters of all ages. A lot of neighbors also go all out with decorations and treats.

𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗢𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗘? 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗖𝗞 𝗨𝗣.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀. The last couple of years have been noticeably bigger, and with Halloween on a Saturday, we expect the biggest crowd yet.

𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚?
𝗡𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 = 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲:

The permit for the 2026 St. Cloud Halloween Parade was applied for with all supporting documents on October 8th; we are currently awaiting final approvals and/or town-suggested modifications to ensure a fun and safe event for all participants, and a fiscally responsible one for the town.

Last year's map and timing are visible on our page. We applied for an identical route with the same timing, though this year Halloween is on a Saturday. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 - 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦.
