And here's what they're offering:
Directing a Reading
Saturday, October 22th, 2-5pm
Led by Nancy Robillard
Great for playwrights, actors, or aspiring directors! Learn the logistics and the creative process of directing a play reading so you can create your own opportunities to get your work seen—whether you've written it, you're starring in it, or you're building your directing resume.
The Director–Playwright Relationship: Ways of Working Together
Saturday, October 29th, 2-5pm
Led by Ari Kreith
Great for playwrights and directors! You've been offered an opportunity for your new play, but you're not sure how to find a director—or what your role is once you have one! Or perhaps you have a piece (or even an idea!) you'd like to develop for production, but you need a director to help you shape and mount it. Perhaps you're a director who has had little experience with working with a live playwright in the room. This class will give you practical and creative guidance in developing and nurturing a playwright-director relationship, no matter the circumstances.
Writing for Yourself: Creating a One-Person Show
Saturday, November 5th, 2-5pm
Led by Susan Stein
Great for actors and playwrights who are tired of waiting for opportunity to knock and want to create satisfying work for themselves. This workshop will help you learn how to develop the seed of an idea into text, while also giving an overview of the practical logistics involved in creating and promoting your one-person show.
Workshops are $25 each.
