Riverfest is leaving its mark on the temporary downtown demonstration! 🦆💛

Downtown West Monroe is the heart of RiverFest, so we were excited to see the festival’s signature rubber ducks included throughout the demonstration. These temporary changes are an opportunity to experience new ideas in real life before anything becomes permanent—and your feedback will help shape not only the future of downtown, but the future Riverfest experience, too!

Take a walk downtown, see what’s new and let the City of West Monroe know what’s working, what’s not and what you would like to see moving forward. Your voice matters!

From the charm of Antique Alley and the beauty of the Ouachita River to our incredible local shops, restaurants, and historic attractions, our downtown is a place people love to visit—and we’re proud to call it home.

We’re especially excited that Ouachita RiverFest was highlighted as one of the events that makes downtown West Monroe such a special destination. Every year, RiverFest brings our community together while welcoming thousands of visitors to experience everything that makes West Monroe unique.

This week, we had the privilege of celebrating Flying Heart Brewing & Pub and their five-year anniversary in Downtown West Monroe with a special ribbon cutting!

Over the past five years, Flying Heart has become so much more than a restaurant and brewery. It’s a place where families and friends gather, milestones are celebrated, memories are made, and our community comes together. Their commitment to Downtown West Monroe extends far beyond their doors, as they continually support countless community events, festivals, and initiatives that make our city such a special place to live and visit.

We’re incredibly grateful for the partnership, generosity, and vibrant spirit Flying Heart brings to West Monroe. Thank you for believing in our downtown, investing in our community, and helping make it thrive.

From the Ouachita River to our nation’s capital! 🇺🇸

We’re so proud of the Louisiana Lunachicks of NELA as they head to Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., to perform during America’s 250th Anniversary celebrations this week!

It’s incredibly special to know that Ouachita RiverFest was able to play a small part in their journey. Seeing one memorable RiverFest performance help open the door to an opportunity like this is a reminder of just how powerful our community can be.

Congratulations to the Lunachicks on this well-deserved honor. Thank you for representing Northeast Louisiana with such energy, heart, and hometown pride. We can’t wait to watch you shine on the national stage!
