Some artists illuminate walls, Emilio Ferro illuminates what lies within them.

Born in 1988 in Italy, works at the boundary between the visible and the imperceptible, creating installations specifically conceived to reveal the soul of places.

Light becomes a language in its own right.
In 2022, he became one of the first artists in the world to present a light installation at the foot of the Pyramids of Giza.

In 2024, « After Pangea » resonated across the site of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
It is this mystical and sensory universe that we have the privilege of bringing to the Chapelle Expiatoire for the Nuit Blanche 2026 with “Threshol”, a work conceived to question our relationship to time and space.

Il y a des artistes qui éclairent les murs, Emilio Ferro, lui, éclaire ce qui se cache dedans.

Né en 1988 en Italie, travaille à la frontière du visible et de l’imperceptible, et ses installations sont spécialement conçues pour révéler l’âme des lieux.

La lumière y devient alors un langage à part entière.

En 2022, il devient l’un des premiers artistes au monde à présenter une installation lumineuse au pied des Pyramides de Gizeh. En 2024, After Pangea résonne sur le site de la Bibliothèque d’Alexandrie.

For the Nuit Blanche 2026, we have the immense privilege of taking over the Chapelle Expiatoire alongside artist , and with the support of .

Threshold is a light and sound installation designed for this deeply historic site: an immense beam of white light cutting through the nave, accompanied by a sonic composition built from magnetic field frequencies.

This choice to seek out the invisible, magnetic fields, what a space retains, what escapes the eye, is at the heart of Emilio Ferro’s universe, an artist profoundly shaped by mysticism and everything that unfolds beyond the visible.

It is precisely this vision, this unique way of sculpting space through colour and matter, that found its place at the heart of Barbe Noire, an opera in five acts presented at .

When flowers live beyond time

In ´s studio, each flower is a story whose petals hold a chromatic memory, destined to reveal itself sooner or later on the canvas. Alice meticulously arranges bouquets that, under the combined action of moisture and heat, become fixed onto the fabric. These dyes are the reflection of a mastered alchemy, one that nonetheless always leaves room for a carefully measured dose of the unexpected.

The technical gesture then fades away, giving place to the imprint: the bouquet does not die: it becomes eternal in a visual poetry where nature dictates its own light.🌸✨

Quand les fleurs vivent au-delà du temps

Dans l’atelier d’ , chaque fleur est une histoire dont les pétales retiennent une mémoire chromatique, destinée à se révéler tôt ou t**d sur la toile.
