Scotty and Rita welcomed September this morning with a look at some notable birthdays and events tied to September 1st, plus checked in with our new microphone hog co-host, Magnum AI. From there, we got into some big stories from yesterday, including the verdict in the Tupac murder case.

We also talked about the launch of the new KOKE Ambassador program and some of the cool stuff coming up for the station. Then things got considerably less dignified with some truly cringeworthy celebrity moments, a few embarrassing stories of our own, hilarious dog stories and the beginning of dove season. Plus, Five Random Facts and a trip down the very strange rabbit hole that is Burning Man and some of the rules that come with it.

Later, we talked about new airline snack options and the debate over peanuts and food allergies on planes, plus the Chris Stapleton concert coming to UT that sounds fantastic until you find out it’s only for students. BOO!

We wrapped things up this morning, as always, with Hollywood Buzz, Ballou News, some bizarre headlines and stand up comedy.

Rita is broadcasting from Nashville this week, so she and Scotty started Labor Day week with plenty to talk about, including what she’s doing in Music City, the Grand Ole Opry and a visit to the Dolly Parton truck stop.

Scotty recapped his weekend of birthday party celebrations and his fantasy football draft before we debated a “controversial” list of hot takes that might get you cancelled.

The morning rolled on with a story involving an aggressive donkey, and then things took a domestic turn with robot vacuums apparently busting cheaters. We also talked about the growing push for three year college degrees and whether the traditional path to a career still makes sense for everybody.

We wrapped things up with Hollywood Buzz, Ballou News and New Music Monday, plus some Stupid News and stand up comedy.
