One of the things I love most about tattooing is being able to explore different styles.

Even with the same subject, every piece can feel completely different depending on the client’s vision. Some koi are soft and expressive, some are delicate and detailed, while this one uses bolder shapes with a mix of thick and fine lines.

I really enjoyed creating this piece and stepping into a different style. Every new idea gives me a chance to explore, learn, and experience something different through my work.

I love exploring different ways to interpret the same subject.

Every koi I create can have a completely different feeling depending on what my client is drawn to—sometimes soft and expressive like ink wash, sometimes delicate and detailed, and sometimes bold like this piece, combining strong shapes with both thick and fine lines.

That’s one of my favorite parts of tattooing. Each client brings a different vision, and that gives me the opportunity to explore something new every time.
