Saturn 🪐 Uranus square:
In the movie “Judas And The Black Messiah” we get to see Fred Hampton walk into a community organization of working-class whites with a confederate flag helming their meeting. He challenges them to join the Black Panther’s effort to stop police brutalizing EVERY non-affluent Community in Chicago. He builds a coalition based on collective needs. He brings together disparate communities into a constellation expressing mutual purpose.
Last month, Jupiter & Uranus had the same challenge as this month’s Saturn 🪐 Uranus square: Differentiating Discomfort from Danger. Both challenges involve working out a conflict to achieve collective needs over individual wants.
Imagine that Uranus in Ta**us ♉️ wants a Tesla. But, the planet Uranus in the sign of Ta**us ♉️ NEEDS transportation.
So if Uranus wanting a Tesla conflicts with Saturn 🪐 wanting a gas-guzzling Jeep, the two are going to have to sit down and negotiate some vehicle that mutually benefits both parties...say, a Rav4 hybrid SUV...or better yet, a transportation infrastructure that is safe and convenient for the entire community.
But, if we don’t sit down and Talk it through, nothing is going to happen. Not only will neither party get the vehicle they want...no one is going to restructure or build the transportation system we need if we don’t do it, together.
The discomfort of not getting the exact vehicle we want does not equal the danger of having no vehicle at all. But, if we don’t face the discomfort and instead act like it is actually a danger, we will create that threat of no transportation through our refusal to work out a solution.
Saturn 🪐 wants to structure a new contract but is running up against Uranus wanting material change. Both need an infrastructure for movement forward. It’s time to start being able to tolerate listening to the other party’s wants. It’s time to be bold enough to speak our own wants. And it’s time to work together to see and achieve our Collective Needs. That’s what Fred Hampton did.
