Independent Opera Company is opening it's eleventh season in beautiful South Pasadena Masonic Lodge with eclectic collection of musical works by 20th century composers. The program includes enchanting and rarely performed Five Duets for soprano and baritone by Karl Weigl, short opera Hin und Zurück (There and Back) by Paul Hindemith as well as piano suite 1922 by the same composer, a vocal cycle "From Jewish Folk Poetry" by Dmitry Shostakovich as well as a scene from Love for the Three Oranges by Sergey Prokofiev which is a preview/teaser for the season, as IOC is going to produce this whole opera in June 2023. Program will include wonderful singers, dancers and visual artists. Prokofiev and Hindemith will be staged. Refreshments and wine will be provided.

Global Musical Bridges and the City of West Hollywood will present their first annual classical outdoor concert, Opera in the Park, showcasing internationally acclaimed classical singers from across Europe and North America on October 23 at 3pm.
