As professional actors, it often feel like we have so little control over our careers, and the same can be said for our partners in story telling, writers, producers and directors. I wanted to take a more proactive role in my own career, work on material that I found exciting, with people who’s work turned me on and who’s work ethic I respected. I know so many talented actors/directors/writers who
, just like me, want to be part of some quality projects, allowing us to hone our craft, have our work seen, and most importantly, tell stories that we are passionate about and inspired by, without having to rely solely on our agents to do so. As a producer, my goals are to delight, provoke, and captivate audiences with thoughtful entertaining material, and powerful stirring stage performances. A life long theater enthusiast, I have acted in eight theatrical productions over the past two years and I’m overjoyed to be stepping into the role of producer as well as actor now. Both for the audience and actor, there’s nothing like the energy created by the synergistic relationship of give and take that occurs during a live theater performance. Though Los Angeles isn’t thought of as typical theater town, there is a vibrant theater community here, putting on amazing production in non-union small theater all around the city, actor/director/writer/producers working tirelessly, out of sheer love and dedication, to create memorable and original performances. I have been blessed to be part of some truly inspired live productions. Now launching Phoenix Fire Productions fist theatrical endeavor, the six week run of Lee Blessing’s, “Down the Road” at The Lounge Theatre, directed by Jordan Shappell, and also staring Barbara Howlin, and Kyle David Pierce, I hope to bring the same passion and professionalism to our maiden journey as I’ve witnessed in those I have been lucky enough to work with.
