R.I.P. Roger Corman
In 1991, I had the honor of being in one of his films, 'Kiss Me A Killer' with Julie Carmen and Robert Beltran. Roger Corman was also a parent at John Thomas Dye School where I was an assistant Art Teacher right out of U.C.L.A. I got the role through my agent, so I am not even sure that Mr. Corman knew that I was in his film, but I wanted to honor his life. He created so many films that launched so many careers in the business. And I will always be truly grateful that my first film role was in one of his movies.
Kiss Me A Killer had a limited run in the theaters, but it is on the top 100 films in the Latino Film categories in the United States.
Thank you for creating wonderful opportunities, Mr. Corman.

'Happy Mother's Day'- I painted this in honor of all mothers. Mothers are precious. I miss mine so much. She was my best friend and loved me unconditionally. She was my champion and a shoulder to cry on. She listened to me, cared for me and loved me deeply. And I loved her deeply as well.

My LUCKY 7 Art Sale is Coming Next Week. Save the Date!
I will be posting 7 pieces every week starting May 7 for 7 weeks right here on Facebook.
First to pay is the new owner of the piece.
I will be accepting Zelle, Venmo, CashApp and Paypal.

Unfortunately, no layaway or holds for this sale.
Free pick-up available or I will ship for Free in the USA on smaller pieces. Pieces larger than 9" x 12", buyer pays for shipping at cost.

A question I get a lot is, "Why are you letting your pieces go so inexpensively?" This is a loaded question, but here it goes...1)it helps me pay my bills and continue creating and 2)it is a time of year that I can offer great deals on my original artwork to 'Thank You' for your continued love and support.

This is a sale you do NOT want to miss. My pieces will be the deal of the century. And I will be proud to have them find a new permanent home.

'Corazon Espinado En Las Nubes', acrylic on wood, 10" x 10" x 3".

The corazon espinado (thorned heart) has become a reoccurring symbol in my artwork. For me, it represents spirituality that goes beyond the idealogy of religion. It represents strength, but also contains the fragility of the heart which is wrapped in thorns and flames giving this dichotomy of symbols that express the love and pain that we are challenged by in our daily lives.
I aged the clouds by using a wash so that it had a feeling of historical context. And yet, I added my own style to give it a feeling of newness and contemporary art.

Throwback. Cover artwork I created for the S.H.P.E. (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) in 2005. The conference took place in Texas and I was fortunate enough to be sent to the conference, put up in a hotel and sign posters at a booth.

This is your chance to acquire works of art direct from my art studio. This is my 3rd Annual Lucky 7 Sale. Back by popular demand. It gives collectors the opportunity to collect pieces without breaking the bank. And it affords me the ability to keep creating art for all of you to enjoy!
